Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Portage crushes West Shamokin

January 12, 2023: Rural Valley, PA 16249

Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA), 53-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, Portage upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Windber (Windber, PA) to play the Ramblers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Ramblers come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Windber won 65-49 in their recent league bout against North Star (Boswell, PA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Clarion-Limestone Lions (Strattanville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. West Shamokin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 57-47 non-league win over Clarion Area (Clarion, PA).
