The Pyramid Lake Lakers basketball squad (Nixon, NV), was nudged 73-66 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV)

With the victory, Smith Valley advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Virginia City (Virginia City, NV) to meet the Muckers in a 1A West battle on Thursday, January 16. The Muckers enter the battle with a record of 13-0. Virginia City won 78-11 in their recent league battle against Whittell (Zephyr Cove, NV)

The Lakers now own a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mineral County for a 1A West battle on Friday, January 17. Pyramid Lake will meet a Serpents squad coming off a 63-50 league win over Excel Christian (Sparks, NV). The Serpents record now stands at 7-9.
