New Mexico High School Basketball - Rio Grande overwhelmed by Valley

The Rio Grande Ravens basketball team (Albuquerque, NM), was overwhelmed 60-36 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM)

The Vikings now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cottonwood Classical Prep for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 20. Valley will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 62-27 non-league loss to Menaul (Albuquerque, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 3-11.

The Ravens (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Jaguars come into the 5A District 5 battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Capital was overwhelmed by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 57-18, in a non-league battle.
