January 20, 2023: Hickory, NC 28601 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the visiting East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), saw Hickory's basketball squad hold off East Lincoln by a tally of 69-62.
With the victory, Hickory improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Red Tornadoes travel to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to play the Knights in a 3A Conference 51 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. North Lincoln won 71-48 in their recent league challenge against Statesville (Statesville, NC)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a 3A Conference 51 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. East Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 71-48 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
