January 12, 2023: Hickory, NC 28601

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the visiting North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC), saw Hickory's basketball squad hold off North Lincoln by a tally of 79-74.

With the victory, Hickory improves its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Red Tornadoes host Foard (Newton, NC) to play the Tigers in a 3A Conference 51 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. Foard lost 90-54 in their recent league challenge against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) in a 3A Conference 51 challenge, on Friday, January 13. North Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 81-36 league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).
