Texas High School Basketball - La Vega crushes Salado

January 24, 2023: Waco, TX 76705

La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), 66-32 in a league bout.

With the win, La Vega upgrades its record to 15-10 on the season. The Pirates host Robinson (Robinson, TX) to clash with the Rockets in a 4A Region III District 23 bout on Friday, January 27. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 6-19. Robinson lost 59-57 in their recent league bout against Gatesville (Gatesville, TX)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 bout, on Friday, January 27. Salado will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Cadets go into the bout with a 21-4 record after their 60-46 league win over China Spring (China Spring, TX).
