The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Eastern Hancock Royals (Charlottesville, IN) and the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), observed Eastern Hancock's basketball team knock off Monroe Central by a score of 74-54.

The Royals (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Shenandoah (Middletown, IN). The Raiders come into the Mid-Eastern challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Shenandoah prevailed over Wes-Del (Gaston, IN), 71-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Bears encounter the Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Monroe Central will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 47-44 non-league win over Winchester Community (Winchester, IN).
