January 24, 2025: Mellette, SD 57461 The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball squad (Mellette, SD), was outscored 55-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Roncalli Cavaliers (Aberdeen, SD)
With the victory, Roncalli advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD) to meet the Braves in a A Region 1 battle on Thursday, January 30. The Braves enter the battle with a record of 7-3.
The Wildcats now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faulkton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. Northwestern Area will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 39-29 league loss to Ipswich (Ipswich, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 4-8.
