Pennsylvania High School Basketball - United nudges Portage

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the United Lions (Armagh, PA) and the host Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA), observed United's basketball team edge Portage by a score of 46-42.

The Lions (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA). The Highlanders come into the Heritage challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Cambria Heights edged Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA), 74-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Conemaugh Township Indians (Davidsville, PA) in a Heritage challenge, on Monday, January 27. Portage will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 52-16 league win over Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA).
