Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA), 63-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Cedar Shoals upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Greenforest (Decatur, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 16-4. Greenforest won 76-24 in their recent league bout against Southwest Atlanta Christian (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Bears clash with the North Hall Trojans (Gainesville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Cherokee Bluff will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 81-74 league loss to Seckinger (Buford, GA).
