February 2, 2024: Flowery Branch, GA 30542 The Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), 77-76 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (18-6) will now prepare for their test against Madison County (Danielsville, GA). The Red Raiders go into the AAAA Region 8 test with a 18-6 record. In their last test, Madison County got by Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA), 61-56, in a league test.
The War Eagles now own a 7-17 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Shoals for a AAAA Region 8 test on Tuesday, February 6. Chestatee will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-14.
