North Carolina High School Basketball - Corvian Community nips Carolina International

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC), saw Corvian Community's basketball squad hold off Carolina International by a tally of 59-52.

With the victory, Corvian Community improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Conference 38 challenge on Monday, January 30. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Sugar Creek lost 59-40 in their recent league challenge against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)

Next up, the Comets play the Apprentice Academy Red Wolves (Monroe, NC) in a 1A Conference 38 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Carolina International will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record. The Red Wolves come into the challenge with a 0-13 record after their 63-58 non-league loss to Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC).
