Georgia High School Basketball - Habersham Central holds off Gainesville
January 27, 2023: Gainesville, GA 30501 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) and the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), saw Habersham Central's basketball squad hold off Gainesville by a tally of 57-50.
With the victory, Habersham Central improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Raiders host Apalachee (Winder, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. Apalachee lost 53-51 in their recent league challenge against Gainesville (Gainesville, GA)
Next up, the Red Elephants confront the Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Gainesville will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 65-26 league loss to Shiloh (Snellville, GA).
