Connecticut High School Basketball - Pomperaug fells New Fairfield
January 29, 2024: Southbury, CT 06488 Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT), 63-51 in a league bout.
With the win, Pomperaug upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Immaculate (Danbury, CT) to play the Mustangs in a Southwest bout on Thursday, February 1. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Immaculate won 60-34 in their recent league bout against Masuk (Monroe, CT)
Next up, the Rebels play the Joel Barlow Falcons (Redding, CT) in a Southwest bout, on Thursday, February 1. New Fairfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 55-29 league loss to Newtown (Newtown, CT).
