The Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) basketball crushed the host Cornell Raiders (Coraopolis, PA), 70-20 in Tuesday's league test.

The Scotties (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Golden Beavers go into the WPIAL 1A 1 test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Western Beaver was trounced by Carlynton (Carnegie, PA), 54-25, in a league test.
