Maryland High School Basketball - Long Reach nudges Howard

February 2, 2024: Columbia, MD 21045

Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD), 74-67 in a league bout.

With the win, Long Reach upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Lightning travel to Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD) to clash with the Wildecats in a Howard County bout on Monday, February 5. The Wildecats go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Wilde Lake won 59-54 in their recent league bout against Centennial (Ellicott City, MD)

Next up, the Lions clash with the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) in a Howard County bout, on Monday, February 5. Howard will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 15-2 record after their 75-70 league loss to Atholton (Columbia, MD).
