North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton nips Pine Forest

February 3, 2023: Erwin, NC 28339

Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), 69-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Triton upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Hawks travel to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 3A/4A Conference 23 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Overhills won 64-60 in their recent league bout against Harnett Central (Angier, NC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Pine Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 19-2 record after their 86-34 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).
