North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain overwhelmed by Franklin

In Tuesday's league test, the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), by a score of 88-57.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, February 5. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Maroon Devils come into the test with a 7-9 record after their 75-39 league loss to Murphy (Murphy, NC).

The Mustangs (10-11) will now prepare for their test against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights come into the 3A Mountain 7 test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, North Henderson was routed by East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 53-41, in a league test.
