North Carolina High School Basketball - Swain County overwhelmed by Smoky Mountain

December 10, 2024: Sylva, NC 28779

In Tuesday's non-league test, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), by a margin of 88-49.

The Mustangs (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears go into the 3A Mountain 7 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Pisgah smashed Erwin (Asheville, NC), 81-65, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Maroon Devils confront the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a 1A Big Smoky contest, on Friday, December 13. Swain County will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 47-45 non-league win over Highlands (Highlands, NC).
