South Dakota High School Basketball - Hanson nips Mt. Vernon/Plankinton
February 6, 2025: Alexandria, SD 57311 In Thursday's league contest, the host Hanson Beavers basketball team scored a close 60-53 win over the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans.
The Beavers (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Freeman (Freeman, SD). The Flyers come into the non-league contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Freeman edged Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD), 80-72, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Titans battle the Chamberlain Cubs (Chamberlain, SD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Cubs come into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 58-26 league loss to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD).
