Maryland High School Basketball - Huntingtown holds off North Point

In Friday's league contest, the host Huntingtown Hurricanes basketball team scored a close 60-56 triumph over the North Point Eagles.

The Hurricanes (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Patuxent (Lusby, MD). The Panthers enter the Southern Maryland battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, Patuxent was nudged by St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 73-35, in a league battle.

The Eagles now own a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lackey for a Southern Maryland battle on Monday, February 10. North Point will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 72-68 league win over McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 17-2.
