Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), 61-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Penncrest upgrades its record to 20-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA) to face the Aces in a non-league match on Monday, February 10. The Aces enter the match with a record of 18-4. Lower Merion won 65-53 in their recent league match against Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA)
