North Carolina High School Basketball - Holmes overwhelmed by First Flight

February 7, 2025: Edenton, NC 27932

In Friday's league test, the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), by a final score of 47-19.

Next, the Nighthawks clash with the Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test, on Tuesday, February 11. First Flight will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 7-12 record after their 71-33 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).

The Aces (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bears come into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Hertford County was overwhelmed by Currituck County (Barco, NC), 39-35, in a league test.
