Maryland High School Basketball - Great Mills nudges Chopticon

In Wednesday's league outing, the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) basketball squad edged the host Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a count of 65-60.

The Hornets (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against North Point (Waldorf, MD). The Eagles go into the Southern Maryland outing with a 11-8 record. In their last outing, North Point held off Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 69-37, in a league outing.

The Braves now hold a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Thomas Stone for a Southern Maryland outing on Friday, February 10. Chopticon will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 71-50 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 11-7.
