In Friday's league match, the host Ponchatoula Green Wave basketball team scored a tight 62-58 triumph over the Hammond Tornadoes.

In their next game, the Green Wave meet the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 13. Ponchatoula will attempt to better on its 25-6 season record. The Greenies enter the match with a 25-6 record after their 67-41 non-league win over Amite (Amite, LA).
