Minnesota High School Basketball - New Prague trounced by Orono
February 11, 2025: New Prague, MN 56071 Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN), 93-64 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Orono advances its record to 15-5 on the year. The Spartans host Chaska (Chaska, MN) to face the Hawks in a AAAA Section 2 match on Friday, February 14. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 10-12. Chaska won 71-64 in their recent non-league match against Jefferson (Bloomington, MN)
The Trojans now own a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Louis Park for a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. New Prague will face a Orioles squad coming off a 72-71 league loss to Waconia (Waconia, MN). The Orioles record now stands at 9-11.
