North Carolina High School Basketball - Triangle Math & Science holds off Ascend Leadership

February 11, 2025: Apex, NC 27502

The Triangle Math & Science Tigers basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators to 38 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now have a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Clover Garden School for a 1A Central Tar Heel game on Thursday, February 13. Triangle Math & Science will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 35-31 league win over Woods Charter (Chapel Hill, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Ascend Leadership falls to 3-18 on the campaign. The Aviators host Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC) to confront the Knights in a 1A Central Tar Heel game on Thursday, February 13. The Knights go into the game with a record of 11-14. Chatham Charter won 36-29 in their recent league game against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC)
