Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH), 47-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Vinton County upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Wellston (Wellston, OH) to play the Golden Rockets in a Tri-Valley I bout on Friday, February 16. The Golden Rockets go into the bout with a record of 5-15.

Next up, the Marauders play the River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH) in a Tri-Valley I bout, on Friday, February 16. Meigs will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 39-38 league win over Athens (The Plains, OH).
