Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant overwhelmed by New Covenant

The The Covenant Eagles basketball team (Charlottesville, VA), was overwhelmed 76-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA)

The Gryphons now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hargrave Military Academy for a Virginia Independent battle on Thursday, February 15. New Covenant will confront a Tigers team coming off a 61-51 league win over Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 14-9.

The Eagles (5-14) will now prepare for their battle against Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Caissons come into the Virginia Independent outing with a 2-17 record. In their last outing, Fishburne Military was trounced by Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 98-30, in a league outing.
