In Friday's non-league outing, the Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) basketball squad edged the host Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX), by a margin of 55-48.

The Trail Blazers (29-4) will now prepare for their outing against Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 14-17 record. In their last outing, Midland Legacy was tipped by San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX), 69-53, in a league outing.
