Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX), 63-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vela upgrades its record to 35-5 on the season. The Sabercats travel to Wagner (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Thunderbirds in a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a record of 24-11. Wagner won 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)
