Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA), 62-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union Area upgrades its record to 15-11 on the season. The Scotties travel to Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence, PA) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, March 8. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 19-6. Turkeyfoot Valley Area lost 81-43 in their recent non-league bout against Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA)

Next up, the Rams play the Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 5. Rochester will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record.
