North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Porter Ridge can't get by Independence

March 15, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 9-8 in a non-league battle.

The Patriots now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Butler for a Southwestern/So Meck battle on Thursday, March 17. Independence will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina/Rocky River battle, on Thursday, March 17. Porter Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 6-0 record after their 19-3 non-league win over Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC).
