The Lincoln Northeast Rockets softball squad scored 6 runs and limited the host Omaha Central Eagles to 3 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Saturday.

Next, the Rockets meet the Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) in a A District challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Lincoln Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 4-1 league loss to Grand Island (Grand Island, NE).

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bryan (Omaha, NE). The Bears enter the A District challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Bryan was routed by Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE), 20-0, in a non-league battle.
