North Carolina High School Volleyball - Draughn tips R-S Central

August 26, 2025: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) and the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), saw Draughn's volleyball squad nudge R-S Central by a score of 3-2.

With the victory, Draughn upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Patton (Morganton, NC) to meet the Panthers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, August 28. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Patton won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)

Next, the Hilltoppers meet the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, August 28. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 3-2 league loss to West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC).
