North Carolina High School Volleyball - Sun Valley over Cuthbertson

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC), observed Sun Valley's volleyball team top Cuthbertson by a tally of 3-0.

The Spartans (6-9) will now prepare for their test against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, East Mecklenburg achieved victory over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league test.

The Cavaliers now own a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weddington for a Southern Carolina 6A/7A test on Thursday, September 4. Cuthbertson will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
