Illinois High School Football - Prairie Central sneaks past Pontiac

September 5, 2025: Pontiac, IL 61764

The Prairie Central Hawks football squad scored 17 points and limited the host Pontiac Indians to 12 in the Hawks league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Hawks play the St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Prairie Central will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 34-15 non-league loss to Illini West (Carthage, IL).

The Indians (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL). The Panthers go into the Illini Prairie challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Paxton-Buckley-Loda was edged by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 35-12, in a league challenge.
