The Highway 6 Trailblazers softball squad (Holdrege, NE), was routed 8-4 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE)

The Swedes (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against Bayard (Bayard, NE). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Bayard tipped Limon (Limon, CO), 8-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trailblazers battle the Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 8. Highway 6 will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Slammers enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 17-5 non-league loss to Boone Central (Albion, NE).
