Georgia High School Softball - Elbert County sneaks past Commerce
September 19, 2024: Commerce, GA 30529 The Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) softball nipped the host Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), 8-7 in Thursday's league outing.
The Blue Devils now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Christian Academy for a 1A D-I Region 8 outing on Tuesday, September 24. Elbert County will encounter a Storm team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA). The Storm record now stands at 9-11.
With the loss, Commerce moves to 6-14 on the season. The Tigers travel to Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA) to encounter the in a 1A D-I Region 8 outing on Tuesday, September 24.
