Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) and the visiting Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD), witnessed Linganore's basketball squad nip Urbana by a margin of 56-49.

The Lancers (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Knights go into the CMC test with a 10-0 record.

The Hawks now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. Urbana will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 70-65 league loss to South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Lions record now stands at 7-4.
