The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Morenci Wildcats (Morenci, AZ) and the visiting Willcox Cowboys (Willcox, AZ), observed Morenci's basketball team edge Willcox by a margin of 46-43.

The Wildcats (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Elks come into the non-league challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Round Valley edged Pinon (Pinon, AZ), 57-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cowboys battle the St. David Tigers (St. David, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Willcox will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 46-40 non-league loss to Rock Point (Rock Point, AZ).
