January 11, 2023: Palestine, AR 72372 In Wednesday's league outing, the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR) basketball squad felled the visiting Carlisle Bison (Carlisle, AR), by a margin of 66-54.
The Patriots (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against Augusta (Augusta, AR). The Red Devils go into the non-league outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, Augusta was beaten by Clarendon (Clarendon, AR), 64-27, in a league outing.
The Bison now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Lee for a 2A Region 6 outing on Thursday, January 12. Carlisle will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 69-48 league win over Barton (Lexa, AR). The Trojans record now stands at 11-5.
