Arkansas High School Basketball - Barton thwarts Carlisle
January 7, 2023: Lexa, AR 72355 The Barton Bears (Lexa, AR) basketball knocked off the visiting Carlisle Bison (Carlisle, AR), 70-62 in Saturday's league test.
The Bears (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Lee (Marianna, AR). The Trojans go into the 2A Region 6 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Lee notched a victory over KIPP Delta (Helena, AR), 67-27, in a league test.
The Bison now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Palestine-Wheatley for a 2A Region 6 test on Wednesday, January 11. Carlisle will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 42-29 league loss to Des Arc (Des Arc, AR). The Patriots record now stands at 3-11.
