The Central Eagles basketball team (Pageland, SC), was toppled 56-43 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC)

The Redhawks now possess a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a 2A/3A Conference 44 battle on Friday, January 13. Monroe will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 75-68 non-league loss to Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-10.

The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC). The Volunteers come into the AA Region 5 battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Andrew Jackson beat North Central (Kershaw, SC), 67-39, in a league battle.
