Maryland High School Basketball - Chapelgate Christian Academy holds off Friends
January 11, 2023: Baltimore, MD 21210 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets (Marriottsville, MD) and the host Friends Quakers (Baltimore, MD), saw Chapelgate Christian Academy's basketball squad hold off Friends by a tally of 52-51.
With the victory, Chapelgate Christian Academy improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Indian Creek (Crownsville, MD) to confront the Eagles in a MIAA B challenge on Friday, January 13. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Indian Creek lost 54-52 in their recent league challenge against St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD)
Next up, the Quakers confront the Archbishop Curley Friars (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA B challenge, on Friday, January 13. Friends will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Friars come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 71-51 non-league win over Overlea (Baltimore, MD).
