In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Morrill Lions basketball team scored a close 59-54 triumph over the Crawford Rams.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bayard (Bayard, NE). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Bayard was tipped by Gordon-Rushville (Gordon, NE), 50-37, in a non-league contest.
