Georgia High School Basketball - Screven County can't hold off Metter

The Screven County Gamecocks basketball team (Sylvania, GA), was nudged 51-48 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Metter Tigers (Metter, GA)

The Tigers now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Emanuel County Institute for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 13. Metter will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 59-42 league loss to Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-11.

The Gamecocks (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Johnson County was nudged by East Laurens (East Dublin, GA), 87-29, in a non-league battle.
