The Marcos de Niza Padres basketball squad (Tempe, AZ), was crushed 72-25 in Monday's league battle with the host Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ)

With the victory, Cactus Shadows advances its record to 16-3 on the season. The Falcons travel to Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Coconino won 62-24 in their recent league challenge against Mohave (Bullhead City, AZ)

In their next game, the Padres battle the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks (Maricopa, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 15. Marcos de Niza will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Golden Hawks come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 49-42 league loss to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ).
