Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) and the visiting Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA), saw Hayfield's basketball squad hold off Edison by a count of 69-64.

With the victory, Hayfield upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Potomac Senior (Dumfries, VA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 12-3. Potomac Senior lost 64-52 in their recent league challenge against Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Colonial Forge Eagles (Stafford, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Edison will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 53-51 league win over Brooke Point (Stafford, VA).
