Virginia High School Basketball - Hayfield tops Edison
February 7, 2023: Alexandria, VA 22310 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) and the host Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA), saw Hayfield's basketball squad knock off Edison by a tally of 66-48.
With the victory, Hayfield improves its record to 20-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Falls Church (Falls Church, VA) to play the Jaguars in a District 3 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 12-8. Falls Church won 46-39 in their recent league challenge against Lewis (Springfield, VA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA) in a District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Edison will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Atoms come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 85-78 league win over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA).
